Low Emittance Ring – Permanent Magnets Workshop

New Low Emittance Rings are nowadays increasingly considering the use Permanent Magnets in their designs. The use of Permanent Magnets in the new Low Emittance Rings has mainly two advantages: in the one hand, it allows a more compact distribution of magnets, since there is no need of coils and water cooling; in the other hand, it allows to reduce the running costs and the carbon footprint of the facility thanks to the removal of the power supplies associated to conventional electromagnets. However, the use of Permanent Magnets also presents some serious challenges. These challenges include the loss of flexibility for the correction of errors, correction that it is needed to ensure the proper beam dynamics performance and stability, and the long term stability of the magnets themselves due to the risk of radiation-induced demagnetization.
To foster collaboration and knowledge exchange between experts on this subject, we are organizing an exciting workshop, focused on Permanent Magnets for Low Emittance Rings.
The workshop is intended to share, between institutes, research centers and companies, the design challenges and experiences on the field.
It is divided in the following six sessions:
Due to the limited capacity of the venue, the organizers may limit the maximum number of participants per institution.
A visit to KYMA and/or ELETTRA will be offered to the participants, depending on demand.

Ineustar ha estado presente en la reciente edición del S4i | Science for Industry, un evento internacional centrado en DeepTech y en la transferencia de conocimiento a la industria que tuvo lugar en Madrid.
Nuestra compañera Leonor Mendoza Malia fue la encargada de moderar la mesa redonda sobre el rol y el potencial del sector Industria de la Ciencia en España, en la que, entre otros, se ha debatido sobre cómo reforzar la conexión entre investigación e innovación, promocionar la transferencia y crear nuevas oportunidades de negocio resilientes y bien fundamentadas.

Desde Ineustar, hemos comenzado una colaboración con la Asociación Española del Vacío y sus Aplicaciones (ASEVA). Os presentamos brevemente su actividad y las distintas oportunidades de colaboración que ofrecen a las empresas del sector.
ASEVA es una asociación científica sin ánimo de lucro que reúne a investigadores, centros tecnológicos, universidades y empresas vinculadas al ámbito del vacío y sus múltiples aplicaciones. Su objetivo es crear una comunidad sólida que impulse la formación, el desarrollo tecnológico y la colaboración entre industria y academia.
